Sleep Paralysis Story – Read The Movie Aimless Screenplay

Demons Exist

Thank you to all those who have read the screenplay and have been showing support sharing the story. I wrote this screenplay; which is a Psychological Drama with intentions to bring awareness to sleep paralysis while presenting the audience with scientific and spiritual questions. I have journeyed far to get this story out so we can get the funding to produce it. If you decide to read it you can help by sharing it with others so it can spread through word of mouth.

I have heard so many stories from Sleep Paralysis victims and I have learned that pre-existing belief systems can affect the content of the hallucinations themselves during the paranormal phenomenon. I’m not sure if that explains why for centuries people from all cultures all over the world have experienced demonic encounters during sleep paralysis. This story  “Aimless”  tackles this mystery with its own twist for that answer people have been seeking.

This is a fictional story that was written to provoke some spiritual questions with a touch of controversy.

LOGLINE: Demons seek out people with little or no faith and give them a deceptive dream about the “truth” of existence during Sleep Paralysis. This knowledge drives the receivers insane and they end up Aimlessly wandering through life a lost soul.

Sleep Paralysis Victim Shares Experience on Radio

Screenwriter/Producer - boba, kelumpuhan tidur

I was recently on Talktainment Radio talking about the film project “Aimless”  We are still in the fundraising stage so please listen to the podcast on our homepage and share to show support..

Through the years of chasing my dream of making this film a reality; I have found that Sleep Paralysis can affect anyone from age, race and culture but it is particularly more prevalent in certain areas. Those areas are Indonesia and Bangladesh and surrounding areas with the demographics being males aged 18-24. In Bangladesh, the phenomenon of sleep paralysis is referred to as boba meaning “speechless” for the reason that people can’t move their body and can’t talk even if they want.

In Indonesia

it is called kelumpuhan tidur. So the question is why does this phenomenon occur in these areas/culture more than the Americas or anywhere else.. is it their cultural beliefs? The myths and stories that keep getting passed down from generation to generation, genetics, or the combination of both, nature vs. nurture. There is a great thread/discussion on the hallucinations during #SleepParalysis on; please chime in… Leave your opinions and comments below.

What is Sleep Paralysis?  Did you know we are all paralyzed when we sleep?

Paralysis while asleep is a normal condition. The body secretes hormones which relax certain muscles and prevent you from acting out your dreams.  If it didn’t you would be in quite some danger every time you went to sleep.  The process of waking up might seem quite simple to you.  But it’s actually a complex process involving many physiological changes.  One of these is the reversal of the paralysis.  People experience the fear of sleep paralysis when the hormone doesn’t wear off fast enough as they wake up.

They remain paralyzed though conscious. Because they have little sensation from their body, if they are lying on their backs, it can feel like someone is sitting on their chest or fear of an evil presence attacking them, a very paranormal experience.  Eventually the paralysis departs and normal functions can be resumed.
