What is SLEEP PARALYSIS?

What is Sleep Paralysis?  Did you know we are all paralyzed when we sleep?

Paralysis while asleep is a normal condition. The body secretes hormones which relax certain muscles and prevent you from acting out your dreams.  If it didn’t you would be in quite some danger every time you went to sleep.  The process of waking up might seem quite simple to you.  But it’s actually a complex process involving many physiological changes.  One of these is the reversal of the paralysis.  People experience the fear of sleep paralysis when the hormone doesn’t wear off fast enough as they wake up.

They remain paralyzed though conscious. Because they have little sensation from their body, if they are lying on their backs, it can feel like someone is sitting on their chest or fear of an evil presence attacking them, a very paranormal experience.  Eventually the paralysis departs and normal functions can be resumed.

What Causes Sleep Paralysis?

The most common causes of sleep paralysis we have dealt with is people that have in some way been involved with various levels, even very light level occult practices. Things such as Ouiji boards, tarot cards, most types of meditation, spirit channeling, even obsessive research about the occult and/or UFO’s can be an open doorway for some people.

Generally, the deeper the person goes into the occult the more doors they open, and the more authority the demons gain over them (Sleep Paralysis Demon), which can lead to severe fearful physical attacks and even abductions in some cases.  It is important to realize that the demons gain more authority over you the deeper you go, the more you “embrace” the experience. That is, they have a keen interest in a person becoming more active in the occult.

Worst experience ever. Began to lose control of my body in my dream and once I woke up couldn’t move in real life. Hallucinations of an eye watching me which eventually formed a demonic face. Body was heavy all over and at one point felt like it was going to snap in two from all the pressure. My neck began to rise against my own will and a tingling sensation shot through my body.It felt as though somebody had been lifting me up by the neck. I eventually woke up from is after hearing a car on the street race past my house. Didnt get much sleep again that night, everytime I began to doze off I could feel as though I was losing a connection between my mind and body.

I’ve never even thought of it this way. I thought it was proven to be nothing more then a stage of sleep. but ya know whats crazy.. this blow my mind, only time its happened to me was last spring. during the period i got very spiritual very quick, was having medical issues, had an out of body / astrotravel during my last surgery with some’one’ beside me, my opie came to me in my dreams and i spoke to him awake, i was deep into medicating with sound waves and was reading lots of spirit guides and the likes.. like wow! i never put two and two together. it was such a horrific experience, i could never understand if its just a phase of sleep why so terrifying. thank you

I experience sleep paralysis frequently. My worst experience of sleep paralysis occured a few weeks ago. It was a sunday morning and I had already awoken earlier. However, being a day off, I decided to just stay in bed. Next thing I was aware of was lying in bed looking towards the door of the room. I quickly realised that I was unable to move and at this point I knew sleep paralysis had taken hold.

As the realisation set in a sudden feeling of dread and fear came over me, and I knew something was about to happen. Suddenly I started to hallucinate my bedroom door slowly opening and hearing the sound of something sliding across the laminate floor. A corpse like creature resembling and old man crawled into my room and started heading straight for my bed. I tried my hardest to scream but nothing came out. At this point I felt as though I couldn’t breathe and this thing just kept crawling closer and closer to me until it was right in my face. It then stuck its tongue out and seemed to be licking my face. I was absolutely petrified and began to wonder if I was ever going to snap out of the sleep paralysis.

Suddenly I could hear my mothers voice, like she was shouting from far away. Next thing I know I`m fully awake and my mum was standing in my door way asking if I was ok. Straight away I sat up in my bed, taking full advantage of my ability to move again. I told her I just had a bad nightmare. She informed me that she came to check on me because she could hear me grunting and growling in my sleep from the next room.

Horrible experience and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
